Tourism

Ever since 618, when the saying “Above is paradise, below is Hangzhou” was first heard, Hangzhou has been a real treasure for visitors. Mainly because of its most beautiful scenery and later on because of the world famous tea from the Dragon Well and the world class silk as well as the West Lake. When you entering here as a tourist, there are so many things and sights to see and explore - in fact you can spend weeks, if not months, here still haven’t seeing it all. The richness of culture and historical spots combined with the many local specialities makes everyone feel very comfortable here. The food and restaurants are something to long back for when first visited. Strolling around in this ancient city with its gently atmosphere, walking on the bridges across the many canals where small boats are sailing, is a very special and enlightened feeling no one should let pass if possibility is at hand.

The Hangzhou Tourist Information Centre has English-speaking personnel and is located on the northern corner of Hubin Lu and Jiefang Lu.
